Introduction to Transloading Services
Good afternoon. This is Jeremy with Easy Logistics Management. Today, I want to explore the concept of transloading and discuss the various benefits and opportunities it presents for handling international inbound containers destined for domestic consumption and clients.
Strategic Partnership and Nationwide Coverage
We are excited to announce our recent partnership with a new warehouse group that boasts 55 different locations, coast to coast, including many major ports. This expansion allows us to offer enhanced transloading and cross-docking services along with a variety of new supply chain-oriented services.
Benefits of Transloading Over Drayage
Transloading offers several significant advantages over traditional drayage:
- Speed: Transloading can speed up the international import of containers by three to five, up to seven days, delivering your goods faster to the end client.
- Cost Savings: By transferring contents to domestic 53-foot big rig trucks, we can save between $200 to $600 per container.
- Efficiency: Three 40-foot containers can be consolidated into about two 53-foot trucks, reducing the number of full truckloads needed for transport.
Extensive Network and Flexible Options
Our access to a vast network of warehouses allows us to dray and transload containers from most major ports, including Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Hayward (near San Francisco), Long Beach, Houston, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, New Jersey, and Chicago. This extensive coverage ensures that we can handle logistics from nearly any major port in the country.
Diverse Shipping Solutions
With our new warehouse locations, we can now offer direct shipping to your regional clients as less-than-truckload (LTL), parcel, or full truckloads. Whether your facilities or clients are rail-served, we provide full truckload, intermodal, or rail transloading services, offering numerous transportation options to meet your needs.
Expanded Presence and Capacity
Our network now includes approximately 65 to 80 locations across the continental United States, offering same day to next day transit times almost anywhere. With around 12 to 14 million total square feet available, we are well-equipped to support your projects with our expanded capacity.
